Rachel Hood
May 14, 1949 — August 10, 2009
Rachel Hood of Frostproof passed away Monday, August 10, 2009 at her residence.
She was born May 14, 1949 in Troy, AL to the late J. & Verlie Maulden; she came here as a child from Troy. She was a homemaker and a member of God's Family Assembly Church. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and enjoyed flying model airplanes.
Survivors include her husband, Billy James Hood Sr.; son, Billy Hood Jr. (Carmen) of Frostproof; sister, Jewel Bateman of Frostproof; brothers, Pete Maulden of Frostproof and Collins Maulden of Bowling Green; two grandchildren, Julia & James.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with the visitation starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
