Rachel B. Cash of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Auburndale.
She was born on March 4, 1923 in Boiling Springs, South Carolina to the late General G. and Dovie Humphries; she has been a resident of the area since 1945 coming from Nashville, Tennessee. She was a retired sectionizer for Citrus World, a member of Westside Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army WACS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Cash and sisters, Eula Mae Hambrick, Donis Humphries and Dorothy Martin.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Frizelle of Lake Wales; sons, Claude N. Cash Jr. (Melba) of Lake Wales and David C. Cash (Kim) of Lake Wales; four grandchildren, Tonya Bush, Allison Cash, Amanda LaBlanc (Michael) and Conner Cash (Laura); and two great-grandchildren Laney Cash and Annabelle LaBlanc.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Waylon Carlisle and Rev. Stephen Bolden officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
