Queen P. Blackburn

Queen P. Blackburn of Frostproof passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the Life Care Center in Winter Haven.

She was born January 29, 1933 in Frostproof to the late George Hiram & Bearl (Straughn) Peavey; she returned to Frostproof from Tampa in 1971. She was an insurance salesperson for Independent Life Insurance Company and a member of the First Baptist Church of Frostproof.

Queen is survived by her sister, Frances Pitts of Frostproof.

Visitation will be held from 3:00pm until the funeral service at 4:00pm, Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Frostproof with Rev. Darrol Hood officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
