Mary Pauline "Polly" Verrier (Daye), a beloved member of her community and a cherished family matriarch, passed away peacefully at her residence on December 25, 2025. She was born on April 21, 1930, in North Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Polly began her career as a sales associate at Zales Department Store, where she enjoyed engaging with customers and sharing her warmth. In 1984, Polly and Bob made the decision to move to Lake Wales from Burlington, Massachusetts, where they continued to build a life rich with family and friends.

Faith was an essential part of Polly's life; she was a devoted member of the Catholic Church, finding strength and solace in her beliefs. Polly had many interests that brought her happiness, including reading, bingo, baking, playing cards, swimming, and participating in various activities at Saddlebag.

Polly is survived by her loving husband of 76 years, Bob Verrier; daughters, Janet Wilson (Ken) of Burlington, Massachusetts; Denise Ryan and her husband John of Lake Wales; and Joanne Arbing and her husband Gary of Burlington, Massachusetts. Her family grew to include grandchildren Erik, Amanda, Christopher, Ami, Mia, Robert, and Justin; as well as great-grandchildren Aiddin, Michael, John, Jake, Sage, Eloise, Mark, and Brady. All of them held a special place in her heart.

Polly was predeceased by her son, Robert E. Verrier, Jr.; parents, Luke and Christine Daye; and siblings, Marjorie Cook (John), Mabel Danby (Victor Wallwork & Percy Danby), Madelyn “Bibs” Spooner (Michael), and Cyril “Buddy” Daye (Lois).
