Phyllis Ann Ward, 72

Phyllis Ward of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at her residence.

She was born August 15, 1944 in Pahokee, Florida to the late Louie and Lida (Whidden) Griffin. She has been a lifelong resident of the area. She was an Activities Director for The Groves Center and member of the Golfview Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her son Duane Ward, sisters Barbara Booth, Juanita Wimberly and brother Erwood Griffin.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years Charles Ward of Lake Wales, FL, daughters Donna Martin and husband Tim of Babson Park, FL, Cindy Dees and husband Robert of Winter Haven, FL, brother Paul Griffin and wife Betty of Lake Wales, FL  8 grandchildren Tiffany Mauldin, Amy Dees, Robert Dees, Tabatha Smith, Tadd Martin, Jake Martin, Lucas Dees, and Aaron Dees;  6 great grandchildren Layla, Bailey, Kylie, Nicolas, Kyle and Jessa.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Nico Mercado officiating.
