Penny Dee Bass of Lake Wales passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 at Kindred Hospital in Tampa.

She was born June 5, 1946 in Taos, New Mexico to the late Milburn and Maxine West; she moved to Lake Wales from Tucson, Arizona in 1981. Penny was a homemaker; her life revolved around her family that she loved dearly.

Penny is survived by her husband of 59 years, John “Wayne” Bass; sons, Westley Bass and wife Kathy of Auburndale, and David Bass and wife Teresa of Lake Wales; sister, Sunny Grieff of Lake Wales; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at the family residence on Saturday, March 26, 2022.
