PEGGY JOYCE MESSER, 66

Joyce Messer of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland.

She was born August 29, 1942 in Cuthbert (Randolph County), GA to the late Daniel P. & Ruth Wilson Messer; she came to Lake Wales as a child. She worked for E.B. Malone and Escod. She was a dedicated Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales. She loved fishing and her dogs. She also enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, camping and spending time her family, especially with her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her brothers, Rick Messer (Sherry) of Lake Wales and Leonard Messer (Frances) of Cuthbert, GA; sisters, Judy Kerrn (Wilbert) of Lake Wales and Danelle Messer (Aleck Flett) of Lakeland.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales with Pastor Joseph Edwards and Rev. Barry Hooten officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, FL 33823.
