Peggy Jean Mccartney

November 11, 1938 — June 13, 2008

Peggy Jean McCartney passed away Friday, 6/13/08, at her home of heart failure. She was 69.

Born 11/11/38 in Pittsburgh, PA, she moved to Lake Wales, Florida 38 years ago. She was the owner / operator of McCartney's Answering Service for 17 years. She enjoyed baking, doing many wedding cakes, doing crafts, reading, meeting new people, family times and keeping up with the Ginko Gang from Crafton High School in Pittsburgh.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Robert E. McCartney, Sisters, Bonnie Alexander and Nancy Brenner.

She is survived by her daughter, Joy M. McCartney of Lake Wales, a brother-in-law, Jim Brenner, nephew, Jay Brenner; great nephew Jake Brenner all of Winter Haven and sister-in-law Betty Danziger of Pittsburgh, PA; cousins Jane and Warren Richey of Upper St. Claire, PA and Jack Schreckengos of Bean Station, TN.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 21 at 10:00 AM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Rev. Denny Cothren will be officiating.Webcast of Peggy's service:
