Pedro Martinez

Pedro Martinez, 99, of Lake Wales passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at the Brandywyne Health Care in Winter Haven.

He was born March 23, 1910 in Puerto Rico to the late Izabel Martinez & Adela Castro; he came here in 2007 from Hollywood, FL. He was retired from New Britton Machine Corp and was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He enjoyed watching Westerns on TV.

Survivors include his sons, Francisco Martinez of Lake Wales, George Martinez of Hollywood and Johnny Martinez of Winter Haven; sister, Maria Martinez of Orlando and Alicia Davala of Puerto Rico; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 PM, Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with a rosary at 4:30 PM. Funeral mass will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Anthony Bluett officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
