LAKE WALES -- Mr. Paul L. Zimmerman of Lake Wales died of heart failure Monday (Oct. 10, 2005) at Forsythe Hospice in Auburndale. He was 91.

Born in Montgomery County, Md., on March 1, 1914, he came to Lake Wales from Prince George County, Md., in 1960. He was a retired citrus grover and businessman for Ridge Surplus Sales for 30 years. He was a Navy Seabees veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion in Lake Wales. He was a member of Lake Wales Lutheran Church.

Mr. Zimmerman was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Zimmerman. He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Nola Tyler, Lakeland; son, David Zimmerman, Lake Wales; two grandchildren; two great-grand-children.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Lake Wales Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
