Paul "Tony" Antonio Umack, Jr.

Paul "Tony" Antonio Umack, Jr., a man known for his dedication, kindness, and many talents, passed away on May 10, 2026, at AdventHealth Lake Wales. He was born on September 14, 1937, in Buras, Louisiana.

Tony lived a full life marked by service, hard work, and a rich variety of experiences. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, rising to the rank of Master Sergeant and completing 23 years of honorable service. After his military career, he continued to work diligently as a computer repairman at Techtronics for 10 years. He also shared his knowledge and passion as an instructor of Ultrasound New Technology at Diasonics for 13 years.

Beyond his professional life, Tony was a lifelong learner and had many hobbies and interests. He loved traveling and was known for his skills as a pro golf instructor, earning him a lifetime membership in the PGA, one of his proudest accomplishments. His personality was well known and well liked by all who met him.

Tony was surrounded by love throughout his life. He was married to his wife, Fay Umack, for 60 wonderful years. He is survived by Fay; his sister, Mary of New Orleans; his brother, Maximo Umack of San Antonio, Texas; brother-in-law, Stanley Deer of Cody, Wyoming; and caregivers Brian and Linda Staten. He was also a devoted companion to his beloved dog, Yetta. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Frances Umack.

Paul "Tony" Antonio Umack, Jr.'s life was one of service, dedication, and love. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
