Paul Mckenzie

Paul McKenzie of Winter Haven passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

He was born December 23, 1941 in Frostproof to the late Doc & Lois Mae McKenzie; his family then moved to Swainsboro, GA where he grew up until his early 20’s when he moved back to the Polk County area. He was a retired mechanic and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the N.R.A. and enjoyed fishing.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann McKenzie and a son, David McKenzie. Survivors include his sons, Anthony P. McKenzie and wife, Jennifer of Winter Haven and their children, Michael, Anthony, Jr., Daniel and Nikita; and Roger McKenzie and wife, Gayle of Swainsboro, GA and their children, Roger, Jr. and Bradley; brother, Leon McKenzie of Blue Ridge, GA; and ten great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the Lake Wales Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Bolden officiating.
