Patsy Barberee Joyner, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, at The Oaks of Avon. Born on October 11, 1937, to the late Johnny and Maude Barberee.
For over 31 years, Patsy dedicated her days to Home Decorating Shows, a career she adored—not just for the joy it brought her, but for the delight she found in helping others make their homes welcoming sanctuaries. Her passion for life extended far beyond the workplace. She found joy on the road, traveling and exploring new places, and she could often be found reading. She loved making flower arrangements to decorate spaces.
Her commitment to her community and faith was unwavering. A devoted member of Impact Church in Lake Wales, her faith was the foundation upon which her compassion and service rested. She also enriched countless lives as a long-time member of the Frostproof Women's Club and the Christian Woman's Club, where she formed lifelong friendships.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Ray Joyner; sons, Bobby Joyner along with his wife Katie and Kenny Joyner; grandchildren, Kristina Blakenship, Jeffrey Joyner, and Kristen Joyner; and great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Haylee, and Riley.
To honor Patsy’s extraordinary life, family and friends are invited to a visitation with the family at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Impact Church, 1201 Burns Avenue, Lake Wales, FL 33853.
