Patricia Ruth Gartland of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, April 26, 2009 at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.
She was born November 16, 1934 in St. Louis, MO; she came here from Dearborn Heights, MI 10 years ago. She was a member of the Dundee United Methodist Church and a member of the Red Hat Society. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards.
Survivors include her daughters, Jeanne Watson of Houston, TX, Ruth Levin of Baneberry, TN and Catherine LaMar of Woodside, CA; son, Richard Gartland of Grosse Isle, MI; brother, Dave Miller of St. Louis, MO; and 5 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, FL 33823.
