Patricia Enz Port, 84
Patricia Enz Port (Tricia), beloved Mom, Mumsie, and follower of Jesus, passed away peacefully at her Spring Haven Memory Care home on December 16, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on April 12, 1941, in Enid, Oklahoma, Tricia lived a life loving others, including family, but extending to her students, church and community.
Tricia earned her bachelor's degree from Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma, which paved the way for a fulfilling journey in education. Throughout her teaching career, she touched the lives of countless students, imparting not only knowledge but also wisdom and compassion. In addition to teaching, Tricia was a lifelong volunteer. She devoted countless time and energy to serving her various churches and community, including Girl Scouts, Greystone Presbyterian, Covenant Life Church and School, Crossings, Christ Community Church, and the Friends of the Metropolitan Library System. Tricia spread love to everyone she encountered through her heartfelt smile.
Tricia shared her life with her devoted husband, James Clinton Port. Married for over 56 years, they built a loving family and created cherished memories that will endure in the hearts of those who knew them. Together, as Marriage Ministries mentors, they helped strengthen the relationships of many young couples.
Tricia leaves behind her cherished daughters, Heather Heminger and husband Doug of Winter Haven, and Heidi Port of Oklahoma City. As “Mumsie,” Tricia found immeasurable joy in her three granddaughters: Carissa, Chloe, and Cianna. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James, parents, Harold Elmer Enz and Vera Valerie Gregg Enz, brother Phil and wife Carolyn Enz, brother Ralph Enz, and sister Deborah Enz. Tricia leaves behind a network of family that includes her sister, Anita Wertz and husband Tom of Tulsa, and many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Tricia Enz Port will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, sister and friend who touched the lives of everyone she met. Her continued perseverance as she overcame many health challenges illustrates her deep faith in her Lord Jesus Christ and will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on January 31st at Christ Community Church, 1895 Overlook Drive, Winter Haven, Florida.
