Patricia Donnelly-Eik

Patricia Donnelly Eik of Lake Wales passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

She was born February 17, 1928 in New York City, NY to the late Francis J. & Agnes Mary (Shea) Maguire; and she came here from Lynbrook, NY in 1982. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Counsel of Catholic Women and volunteered at the pregnancy center.

Survivors include her daughters, Margaret "Midge" (Jim) Walsh of Brandon, Fl and Nancy (Vincent) Maffatore of Bethpage, NY; sons, Michael G. (Lisa) Donnelly of Monroeville, PA and Kenneth J. (Barbara) Donnelly of East Rockaway, NY; and brother, Robert F. Maguire of Maine; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded by her loving husbands, Thomas Donnelly (28 years) and then Walter S. Eik (11 years). Also by her twin sister, Frances M. Malone and her sons, Thomas P. Donnelly of Philadelphia, PA and William Francis Donnelly of Old Westbury, NY.

A celebration of Patricia’s life and Memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales. For those who wish, donations in her name can be made to the charity of your choice in Lake Wales. And, as Patricia would encourage us now in our grief of missing her, just keep smiling, loving and helping people in the community.
