Pastor Jasper "Ej" Wine

Pastor Jasper Wine passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at his residence. He was born January 29, 1938 in Sunnyside, WA to the late Ernest & Lola Wine; he came to Lake Wales from Oregon when he was 13. He was the pastor of Calvary Temple and the principal of Calvary Christian Academy for almost 30 years. He enjoyed music and gardening. Pastor Wine was preceded in death by his son, Terry Jasper Wine. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Joyce Wine; two daughters, Theresa Annette “Tinker” Miller (Bill) of Lake Wales and Shannon Michele Clark (Bob) of Valdese, NC; son, John Wine (Cindy) of Lake Wales; sisters, Esther Haas of Lakeland and Lilah Boaz of Oregon; brother, Emory Wine (Betty) of Lake Wales; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Calvary Temple with Pastor Esther Haas officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Memorial Gardens.
