FROSTPROOF--Orval Wesley Throne of Frostproof died of cancer Sunday, December 31, 2006 at his residence. He was 95.
Born June 04, 1911 in Williams County, OH; he has been a resident since 1980 coming from Clinton, MI. He was a superintendent for Washtenaw County Road Commission. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Frostproof, the AARP, and the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association.
Mr. Throne was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Throne in 1970; his second wife, Juanita Throne in 2002; sons, David and Paul Throne. Survivors include his daughters, Kaylynn Throne of Sebastopol, CA; Carol Anne Holzapfel of Ypsilanti, MI; brothers, Rex Throne of Gladwin, MI; Leo Throne of Ypsilanti, MI; George Throne of Ypsilanti, MI; sisters, Bernice Anderson of Venice; Geneva Thomas of Vancouver, WA; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 4:30 PM, Friday, January 05, 2007 at the Fist United Methodist Church in Frostproof with Rev. James Isaacson officiating. For those who wish, donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Frostproof.
