Orvail M Barnett

Orvail M. Barnett of Babson Park passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at his residence.

He was born May 30, 1942 in Alabama to the late John Webb & Verdia Barnett; and came to the area from Missouri 55 years ago. He was retired from Publix and the Polk County School Board and was a member of the New Beginnings Worship Center. He enjoyed keeping up with his yard, making it look nice and watching sports, especially basketball.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Charlotte Barnett; daughters, Donna Meadows of Springville, IN, Vickie Smith of Babson Park and Sharon Locke and husband, Roy Gene of Mt. Airy, NC; sons, Gary Barnett and wife, Robin of Fort Meade, Timothy Barnett of Babson Park and Jason Barnett of Babson Park; sister, Bea Green of Prattville, AL; brother, Bruce Barnett of Lake Wales; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, February 27, 2014 at New Beginnings Worship Center. Interment will follow at Lake Wales Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday February 26, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. .
