Orva Lue Keene, 77 of Frostporof, Florida passed away Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.
She was born April 28, 1936 in Geneva, Alabama to the late Theodore and Molly Cotton and has been a resident of the area since 1941. She was a Homemaker, enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing and was very active in FFA, former Youth Director at the Church for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Frostproof.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Leon H. Keene; daughters, Debbie Williams of Frostproof, Kathy Richburg and husband Brian of Fyffe, Al, Toni Branson and husband Doug of Troy, Al; step daughters, Pam Allen of Winter Haven, Vickie Pennington of Manvel, TX; sons, Ken Williams and wife Miriam of Punta Gorda, Keith Williams of Lake Wales, Kevin Williams and wife Robin of Ft. Myers; step sons, Don Keene of Plant City, Hank Keene of Lithia; sisters, Ruth Cavanaugh of Frostproof, Patricia Niles of Jacksonville, Betty Sellers of Clermont, Lilli Black of Minneola, Sister N Law, Donna Cotton of Jacksonville; brothers, Crawford Cotton of Houston, TX, Bill Cotton of Bradenton, Frank Cotton of Natchez, MS, Arthur Cotton of Frostproof; 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 17, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of Frostproof with Rev. Brian Smith officiating. Interment will be held at the Silver Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof.
