Odessa Murphy

Odessa Murphy 93, of Winter Haven passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Life Care Center of Winter Haven.

She was born July 25, 1920 in Colquitt County, Georgia to the late Joseph A. and Mattie A. (Matthews) Watson and has been a resident of the area since 1958 moving here from Thomasville, Georgia. She was a retired Citrus Fruit Packer for Citrus Growers Association. Odessa was a member of the Lone Oak Baptist Church in Plant City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Murphy in 1984

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Davis and husband Zack of Winter Haven; son, Gene Murphy and wife Stephanie of Sebring; 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Kerry Beatty officiating. Interment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
