Norman Miller, born March 14, 1940, in Niagara, New York, passed away peacefully at his residence on July 9, 2026. A devoted husband, respected father, and cherished grandfather, Norman will be remembered for his steadfast commitment to family and his pursuit of simple joys throughout his long life.

Norman was a retired heavy equipment engineer for Mawhiney Trucking Corporation in Wilson, New York. In his free time, he enjoyed playing shuffleboard and euchre. He also liked to watch dirt track racing.

Norman is survived by his beloved wife, Naomi Miller, who was his partner and confidante through their 58 years of shared experiences. His legacy continues through his children: Suzanne Zimmerman of Wilson, New York, Sarah Skimin of Lake Wales, William Hilliard of Lake Wales, and David Miller and his wife Daylean (who was lovingly known as “Hey You” to Norman, of Ransomville, New York. Norman was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and happiness. Also surviving is his sister, Elaine Martin, who remained a supportive presence in his life.

He is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Miller, and his sisters, Karoline Miller, Marilyn Miller, and Christine Miller. Their memories and shared moments with Norman were a treasured part of his journey.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Parakeet Park Clubhouse. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Polk County Sheriff’s Association. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com.
