Orlando -- Mr. Norman Pearce Glisson of Orlando died of pulmonary failure Tuesday (June 13, 2006) at the Vitas Hospice House in Orlando. He was 65.

Born in June 22, 1940, he came to Orlando 44 years ago from California. He was a project manager for an oil and gas refinery. He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He loved reading and spending time with his family. He grew up in Frostproof and graduated from Frostproof High School.

Mr. Glisson is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elaine Ann Glisson of Orlando, FL; daughter, Rhonda Gail Glisson of Orlando, FL; son, John and Tami Glisson of Orlando, FL; brothers, Harry Glisson of Orlando, FL and Frank Tressie of Texas; and 3 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 10:45 AM, Friday, June 16, 2006 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home, 196 Highway 630 East, Frostproof, FL. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 16, 2006 at the Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof.
