Norma Doris Wilber

Norma Doris Wilber of Winter Haven passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Spring Haven Retirement.

She was born May 17, 1918 in Windsor, NY; she was a winter resident for 20 years before becoming a permanent resident coming from New York. She retired from General Electric in Johnson City, NY and was a member of the Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church in Binghamton, NY, where she sang in the church choir. She was a very active member of the Family Motor Coach Association and enjoyed bowling, card playing, garage sales and "gadding". Norma met her true biological mother, Leith Pazzelli, later in life and enjoyed that special friendship.

Norma was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Withers, second husband, John Lenzo and third husband, Fred Wilber. Survivors include her two sons, D. Chris Withers (Susan) of Richmond, VA and Mark F. Withers (Haiyan) of Monrovia, CA; one nephew, Vernon Gibson of Stuart, FL; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11:30 AM, Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Spring Haven Retirement in Winter Haven.

A second memorial service will be held at the Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church in Binghamton, NY at a later date, followed by a private spreading of her ashes.

The family expresses their profound gratitude to Richard & Nancy Miller, Fay Neilsen and the caregivers at the Spring Haven Retirement Community and Good Shepherd Hospice for their loving care of Mom, Grandma, aka "Miss Norma".
