FROSTPROOF -- Ms. Norma Lorraine Thompson of Frostproof died of heart failure Wednesday (Jan. 11, 2006) at Royal Care of Avon Park. She was 86.

Born in the Bahamas on Nov. 17, 1919, she came to Frostproof from Miami 25 years ago. She was an accountant for Miami Lighting. She was a Protestant.

Ms. Thompson is survived by her brother, Carroll VanRyn, Pittsboro, N.C.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Avon Park.
