Norma J. Houk Skinner passed away Monday, November 17, 2008 at her residence in Lake Wales.

Born June 19, 1940 in Lake Wales; she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a secretary for the Lake Wales Citrus Growers Association and of the Baptist faith. She was an avid Bingo player, enjoyed playing softball in the past and the outdoors. She also loved to watch college football.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, James Wallace and Maggie Opal Houk Sr.; brother, Don Houk; sister, Gloria Houk Oshiver, and ex-husband, Wayne Skinner. Survivors include her daughter, Cathy (Eddy) Dawson of Lake Wales; brother, Wally Houk of Lake Wales; grandson, Kevin Dawson and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM with visitation beginning at 6:00 PM, Thursday, November 20, 2008 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
