Nieves Torres Rodriguez

Nieves Torres Rodriguez, a beloved homemaker, passed away on March 9, 2026, at Winter Haven Hospital. She was born on August 5, 1942, in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Nieves was known for her very honest and blunt personality, which endeared her to many who knew her.

Nieves was the proud mother of three children: Placido Rivera and his wife Lillian from New Jersey, Gloria Mieles and her husband Nicolas from New Jersey, and Millie Perez and her husband Ray from Florida. She also cherished her role as a grandmother to six grandchildren and was a great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her sister Paula Torres from New York and her brother Ramon Torres from Florida.

Nieves had a zest for life and was the Queen of Bingo. She found joy in shopping, traveling, listening to music, attending parties, cooking, and entertaining her family. Her love for her family and friends was evident in everything she did.

Nieves will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. A visitation will be held on March 11, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 4:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
