Nellie Elizabeth Barker Clements

Nellie Elizabeth Barker Clements of Frostproof passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 at her daughter's residence.

She was born December 28, 1916 in Madison, FL to the late William and Martha (Fennell) Barker; and moved to Frostproof from Madison in 1926. Nellie was a retired cashier from Futral's Foodway in Frostproof, where she was employed for more than fifty years, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Frostproof, the Eastern Star, and the Frostproof Woman's Club.

Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis G. Clements. Survivors include daughters, Martha Nell Callaway (Warren) of Pennsylvania and Melba Taylor (Jim) of Frostproof; four grandchildren, Curtis W. Callaway (Kristina) of Georgia, Leigh Ann Callaway of Alabama, Benjamin Taylor of Frostproof and Stella Taylor of New York; and two great-grandsons.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the Funeral service at 2:00 PM Monday, April 9, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Frostproof, with Rev. Darrol Hood officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
