Natalie Sharon Lightsey

October 29, 1952 — November 27, 2023

The world became brighter 71 years ago on October 29th, the day Natalie Sharon Storms Lightsey made her entrance. Natalie sadly passed away on November 27, 2023, after a 15-month long illness.

The firstborn of Nathaniel and Alice Jenkin Storms, Natalie was born in Tampa, Florida and lived in Valrico, Florida until August 1973, when she moved to Lake Wales, Florida. Gifted in charismatic Natalie found expression through music and drama. She served First Baptist Church, Brandon, Florida, as a pianist and soloist, and continued sharing these gifts when she moved to First Baptist Church, Lake Wales. Her gifts for drama were evident as the lead in her Senior Class Play, Up the Down Staircase. Active in 4-H for many years, she was the recipient of several national 4-H trips for her outstanding leadership in the local organization. A 1974 graduate of The University of South Florida with a BA in Elementary Education, Natalie taught 1st grade at Polk Avenue Elementary in Lake Wales for many years. Natalie was a generous, caring, and loyal person who touched the lives of many, too numerous to count. She will be missed by all who were privileged to know and love her. As a young girl, Natalie placed her faith and hope in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. We too find great comfort in this, as we know she has gone to be with the Lord.

Predeceased by her parents, Nat and Alice Storms, Natalie is survived by her adult children, Cliff (Amanda) Lightsey, Shara (Philip) Kramer, and Lauren Lightsey, as well as her grandchildren, Holden, Harlee, and Cooper Lightsey; Emma Layne (Andrew) Tucker; Libby, Baur, Lightsey, and Adrian Kramer. She is also survived by her sister and three brothers.
