Nancy Henderson Maynor

Nancy Henderson Maynor of Lake Wales, FL passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Sebring, FL.

She was born October 28, 1949 in Wilmington, NC; she came here from Leland, NC in 1989. She was a homemaker and was an active member of the Central Avenue Baptist Church in Lake Wales, FL; her church activities included the church choir and Sunday school. She enjoyed painting and was a former beautician.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Edward Henderson. Survivors include her husband of 32 years, John F. Maynor of Lake Wales, FL; daughter, Delisa Beaulieu (Gary) of Dade City, FL; sons, Christopher Maynor (Amy) of Franklinville, NC and Tracey Maynor (Jamie) of Greensboro, NC; mother, Eloise McKenzie of Wilmington, NC; sisters, Betty Ann Watts of Riegelwood, NC and Jeanette Degler of Leland, NC; brother, Dennis Henderson of San Antonio, TX; and five grandchildren.

Local visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales, FL.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Monday, July 25, 2011 and the funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville, NC with Pastor Eddy Watts officiating. Interment will follow at the Jacksonville City Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC.
