Nancy Mathewson

NANCY ANNA SMITH MATHEWSON, 85

Nancy S. Mathewson of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 at Hardee Manor in Wauchula.

She was born July 6, 1932 in Rochester, New York to the late Wilfred F. and Antoinette M. (Heidt) Smith. She has been a resident of the area since 2001 coming from West Palm Beach, Florida, where Nancy was a Fiscal Specialist for the Palm Beach Fire Rescue. Nancy was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales and an officer in the Secular Franciscan Order.

She is preceded in death by her husband David R. Mathewson.

She is survived by a foster sister Linda Graff of Rochester, New York.

Inurnment will take place at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida, where she will be placed next to her husband, who was in the Navy.
