Nancy “Marie” and Allen “Alfred” Smith

Nancy “Marie” Smith, 80, of Frostproof passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at her residence.

Allen “Alfred” Smith, 80, of Frostproof passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at his residence.

Marie was born October 23, 1940 in Frostproof to the late James and Louise Johnson. She was a homemaker and retired bookkeeper for the Lake Wales Bank and Trust. She enjoyed taking care of her family and was of the Baptist faith.

Alfred was born February 13, 1940 in Wauchula to the late Roscoe and Dorothy Smith; he moved to Frostproof in 1948 with his family. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; enjoyed playing his guitar; and was of the Baptist faith.

Marie and Alfred are survived by their sons, Robert “Al” Smith and wife Tasha of Yoakum, Texas, and Richard “Rick” Smith of Frostproof; Alfred’s sister, Linda Respress of Frostproof; grandchildren, Joey Smith and wife Stephanie, Ricky Smith and wife Vanessa, Roscoe Smith, Makayla Smith; and great-grandchildren, Trevor, Caden, Richard, Lylah, and Gunnar.

A joint graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Silver Hill Cemetery with Rev. Darrol Hood officiating. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com .
