Nancy Reeder Cason, 88

Nancy Reeder Cason of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the Grace Health Care Center.

She was born July 19, 1932 in Miami, Florida, to the late James and Maxine Reeder. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Granna adored her only grandchildren, Michelle and Zeb. She loved living on Tiger Lake next to her oldest daughter. She often referred to it as “paradise”. Nancy was a Florida Gator through and through, but she graciously tolerated some of her children cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers and the Oregon Ducks.

Nancy was proceeded in death by her husband, “Big John”. Their motto was “you have to eat to keep from getting hungry”, and you were always welcome at their table for a huge and delicious meal. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Gilbertson of Lake Wales, Terry Pildner and husband Richard of Knoxville, Tennessee, Ellen Yount of Elk Grove, California, and Kathleen Kunkel and husband Scott Kwierant of Franklin, Tennessee; sister, Joan Raynor of Lakeland; and grandchild, Michelle Roberts and husband Zeb of Sidney, Australia. We will always miss her great smile, sassy wit, and robust laugh. We love you Mom!

No local services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending memorial contributions to Love on Wheels, a 501c(3) non-profit organization founded by Nancy’s youngest daughter that serves children in the foster care system.
