Nancy Becker, 89

Nancy Becker of Babson Park passed away Monday, February 26, 2024 at AdventHealth Lake Wales under the care of Vitas Hospice.

She was born March 17, 1934 in Haines City to the late John and Mattie Chadwick; she has been a lifelong resident of Polk County. Nancy was a homemaker and an accountant for the Bartow Country Club and Grace Chemical Company. She volunteered at Lake Wales Hospital and was a genealogist. She also enjoyed playing golf with her husband, Jack. Nancy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she was a music leader.

Nancy was preceded in death by her first husband, Lincoln Gaborik; second husband, George Conyer; third husband, Jack Becker; son, Christopher "Chris" Gaborik; grandson, Christopher, Jr.; and sisters, Nellie East and Mary Higgins. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Whitesell (Robert) of Sarasota; sons, Jerry Gaborik (Cheryl) of Winter Haven, Lester Gaborik (Sherry) of Rincon, Georgia, and Martin "Marty" Gaborik (Laura) of Largo; sisters, Nita Winget and Edith Warren; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and the funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 29, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1024 Burns Avenue, Lake Wales, Florida 33853). Interment will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
