Myrtle L. Norris

Myrtle L. Norris of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at her residence.

She was born June 19, 1927 in Coffee County, AL to the late Augustus and Bertie Mae (Sanders) Daughtry; and she came to Lake Wales from Milton, FL in 1967. Myrtle was a retired nurse for a local nursing home, and of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed sewing and fishing.

Survivors include her husband, Tommy Norris; daughters, Geri Williams of Burkesville, KY, Elethia Parsley of Springville, IN and Jenny Wood of Sebring; sons, Ken Wood (Marilyn) of Lake Wales and Dwayne Wood of Bedford, IN; sisters, Louise Martin of Dothan, AL and Jo Christmas of Dothan, AL; brother, Roger Daughtry of New Brockton, AL; 21 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales, with visitation from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
