Myrtle Elaine Jefferies, 60

Myrtle Elaine Jefferies of Frostproof passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Advent Health Sebring.

She was born November 3, 1959 in Atmore, Alabama to Leo and Kathleen McGhee. Myrtle was an inspector for the State of Florida. She attended the First Baptist Church of Frostproof; and enjoyed kayaking, and country music concerts, she specifically loved George Strait and Luke Bryan.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her son, Robert “Chris” Jefferies; brothers, Timothy McGhee, and Jimmy McGhee; sisters, Sonia Rayborn; and Brenda McGhee; and father, Leo McGhee. She is survived by her daughter, Kristen Jefferies and boyfriend Michael Wilkins of Alturas; son, Ricky Jefferies and wife Christy of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters, Anita Tuel and husband Todd of Charleston, South Carolina, and Jennifer Watts and husband Timmy of Winter Haven; ten grandchildren; and mother, Kathleen McGhee.

A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof. Per family requests, anyone who wishes to attend service must wear a mask.
