Monica Lee Dixon of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

She was born April 13, 1964 in Camden, New Jersey; she moved to Lake Wales from New Jersey six months ago. Monica was a registered nurse and was of the Lutheran Church.

Monica was preceded in death by her father, Ralph H. Heacock, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Billy Dixon; daughters, Corin Dixon of Lake Wales, and Nicole Dow and husband Preston of Winter Haven; son, Brandon Dixon of Hackensack, New Jersey; sisters, Alison Levin and husband Henri K. of Stockholm, Sweden, Christine Atwood and husband Rick of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; brother, James Heacock and wife Deanna Taylor of South Orange, New Jersey; and grandchildren, Aiden, Arianna, and Laylanie.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 25, 2023 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at Lake Wales Memorial Gardens.
