Mona Kay Taylor

Mona Kay Taylor of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born April 28, 1952 in Tampa, and came to Lake Wales from Lakeland in 1993. Mona was a self-employed General Contractor, and a member of the Wayside Baptist Church. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. She never met a person that she didn't like.

Mona was preceded in death by her father, George A. Ralston and first husband, David G. Doehring. Survivors include her daughters, Lori Adkins of Lake Wales and Jennifer Press of Lakeland; mother, Grace Ralston of Lake Wales; brother, Larry Gayle of Marietta, GA; companion of seven years, James Skaggs of Lake Wales; four grandchildren, Erica Adkins, Victoria Adkins, Logan Press and Landon Press.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Mona's Home (3812 Bruce Boulevard, Lake Wales, FL 33898).
Mona's ashes will be scattered at Little Gasparilla Island at a later date.
