Mona M. Babington, 87

Mona M. Babington of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Lake Wales Health and Rehab.

She was born January 11, 1934 in Dresden, Ohio to the late Roy and Vera Cody; she moved to Lake Wales from Englewood in 1959. Mona was a homemaker and attended High Point Church in Lake Wales. She loved pigs, covered bridges, going camping, and the mountains.

Mona was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Babington; brothers, Robert, Fell, Jack and Harold Cody; and sister, Ruth Wietzel. She is survived by her daughter, Paula Babington of Lenexa, Kansas; sons, Jeff Babington (Beverly) of Summerville, South Carolina, William “Bill” Babington (Joann) of Lake Wales, Scott Babington (Pam) Babson Park; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren ; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Pastor Henry Smith officiating.
