MITSUKO “MITZI” VERMETTE, 74

Mitsuko “Mitzi” Vermette, 74, of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

Born March 18, 1934 in Sagamihara, Japan; she came here 26 years ago. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. She was a member of the Catholic War Vet. Auxiliary in New Hampshire and she worked for R.C.L. Electronics as a resistor winder on the mother’s shift in Manchester, NH. She enjoyed playing Mahjong and poker card games and enjoyed sewing.

Mitzi was preceded in death by her brother, Naoshi Muto. Survivors include her husband, Joseph R. “Joe” Vermette of Lake Wales; sons, William R. “Bill” & wife, Linda, Vermette of Boise, ID and Michael R. “Mike” & wife, Joanne, Vermette of Manchester, NH; mother, Asae Muto of Japan; brothers, Keichi Muto, Masami Muto, Tomoyuki Muto and Takayoshi Muto all of Japan; sister, Yumiko Sasake of Japan; and one grandson, Benjamin.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Donations may be sent to the American Heart Association.
