Mitchell Brian Goldstein, born on December 9, 1962, in Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, at AdventHealth Lake Wales. He was 63 years old.
Mitchell lived a full and active life including scuba diving, fishing, hunting and camping. He felt most at home in the outdoors. He was best known for his smile, laugh and happy outlook. Mitchell took great pride in his work as he explored several careers, but he most enjoyed his time serving others as a general manager in the restaurant industry. Among all his interests his love for baseball and football would top the list. He played football for Clemson University on the 1981 National Championship Team. This accomplishment remained a cherished memory throughout his life. Two years before his passing and due to his failing health, he moved to Lake Wales from Cartersville, Georgia.
Mitchell is survived by his father, Al Goldstein of Lake Wales; younger sister, Jodi Beyer of Sanford; niece, Samantha (Beyer) Manchester her husband, Matthew and their son, James; nephew, Tate James Beyer; older sister, Winnie Barron of Canton, Georgia; niece, Nikki Barron; great nephews, Dylan, Jaylen and Kaleb; niece, Meagan Dobbins; and great nephews, Kadyn and Jaxson. He is also survived by many friends who have shared their favorite stories of times spent with Mitchell over the years. Mitchell was preceded in death by his loving mother, Pat Goldstein and brother-in-law Jim Beyer.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, July 11th at 11:00 am at HighPoint Church in Lake Wales. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com.
