Minnie Ada Dempsey

Minnie Ellis Dempsey, 85, of Frostproof passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Grace Health Care.

She was born January 24, 1929 in Frostproof, Florida to the late Aaron B. and Eva R. (McRae) Ellis and she has been a lifelong resident of the area. She was a self-employed Citrus Grower. Minnie graduated from Frostproof High School; she was a member of the Eastern Star, Frostproof Women’s Club, former realtor, Circle Mary at Church and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Frostproof.

She was preceded in death by her husband, CC Dempsey, Jr., brothers, Buddy Ellis, Billy Ellis, sisters, Ruby Ellis Benton, Julia Ellis Livingston

She is survived by her son, Benjamin “Ben” Dempsey of Frostproof; sister, Dolly Ellis Woodley of Frostproof; many nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Smith officiating. Interment will be held at the Silver Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 PM until service time.
