Lake Wales

Milo O. Miller, of Lake Wales, Florida, passed away on October 22, 2026, in Lakeland. He was born on May 19, 1937, in York County, Pennsylvania. The son of Harry W Miller and Laura (Wineka)Miller. He was the youngest of 15 children and grew up on the historical Miller's Mill farm.

Milo will be remembered as a hardworking and dedicated family man who entered the work force as a feed mill operator for Hoke Mills Inc., then worked for Sylvania, and finished his career as an operating mill manager for Spangler & Sprenkle Feed Mill. He loved to watch baseball- especially the Orioles and in more recent years the Tampa Bay Rays. Milo enjoyed playing games with family & friends, handing out hard candies, making people laugh and giving hugs. His working life reflected steady dedication and commitment that followed him throughout his life, as he was able to celebrate 25 years of volunteering while in retirement. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales, and really enjoyed the devotional time of Men's Prayer Breakfasts.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Miller; his father, Harry Miller; his mother, Laura Wineka; and his son, David Miller.

Milo is survived by his daughter, Jearl Dolan, and his two granddaughters; Jan Shain(Timothy), and Leah Nishwitz(Jake), as well as 5 great-granddaughters. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him, and lasting peace to the family who loved him.
