Millard C. Shores

Millard C. Shores of Lake Wales, FL passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at his residence.

He was born April 3, 1945 in Jackson County, FL to the late Elijah Bonyard & Myrtle Lucille (Davis) Shores; he came here from Daleville, AL 2 months ago. He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years; he was an aircraft mechanic and served in Vietnam and Lebanon. He loved to restore old cars and drag racing. He was also a history buff.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Tina Allen Shores; daughters, Becky Johnson of Deland, FL and Christina Shores of Daleville, AL; son, Michael Shores of Texas; sister, Norma Moore of Robertsdale, AL; and ten grandchildren, Aaron, Jason, Emma, Jordan, Ashlyn, Peyton, Sarah, Hannah, Ella and Rachel.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the funeral service at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 29, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Ken Geren officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
