Milford Butch Johnson

Butch Johnson of Frostproof passed away Wednesday, February 06, 2013 at Kindred Hospital South in Tampa, Florida.

He was born March 23, 1940 in Alma, Georgia to the late Herman J. and Lois L. (Williams) Johnson; he came to Frostproof from Alma, Georgia in 1967. Butch was a retired Harvester for Ken Davis Harvesting, was a member of God’s Family Assembly, enjoyed being with his family especially with his grandkids.

Butch was preceded in death by his son, Clint Johnson in 1990

Survivors include his wife Glenda S. Johnson of 45 years; daughter, Kim Gilmore (Jason) of Frostproof; sisters, Wynnel Melton of Alma, GA, Sue Branch of Baxley, GA; brothers, Bill Johnson of Alma, GA, James Johnson of Albany, GA; 4 grandchildren, Brianna & Hannah Gilmore, Logan & Noah Gilmore; longtime friends, Gene Henson of Frostproof and Donna Nutt of Frostproof.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, February 09, 2013 at God’s Family Assembly with Rev. Wrynn Collins and Rev. Rayvon Galloway officiating.
Interment will be held at the Silver Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 09, 2013 from 11:00 Am until service time at the church
