Mildred Davis Wilkes

Mildred Davis Wilkes, 90

Mildred Beatrice Cochran Davis Wilkes was born on July 25, 1931, in Madison, FL to Ralph and Netti B. Cochran.  She was the oldest child of eleven children.  Of her siblings she is survived by Sylvia Daughtry Whitehead, Marti Sheffi, and David Cochran.  She was preceded in death by Avis Donelly, Daisy McDaniel, Barbara Grimes, Phyllis Simmons, Danny Cochran, Eddie Cochran, and Sammy Cochran.

When Millie was married to Charles James Davis and had three children, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Of her children she is survived by Charlene Thornton, and Gary Davis and was preceded in death by Charles Glen Davis, fondly known as Jake.

She is survived by her grandchildren Rita Meade, Tara Davis, Casey Davis, Garrison Davis, and Gabrielle Davis Wallick and preceded in death by Tammy Meade.  She is survived in death by great grandchildren Kaitlynn Berry, Kailee Berry, Carysa Browning, Kinslee Browning, McKenna Davis, and Dayton Davis. She is also survived by her great great grandchild Kayson Adams.

Mildred would like most to be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother. She was primarily a homemaker but was also employed by Citrus World now Florida Natural, Orange Co., and Good Shepherd the Comforter.

She passed from the earth into the arms of her heavenly Father on May 20, 2022, at 9:19 PM from heart complications.

Memorial services will be held 11:30 AM, Saturday, May 28, 2022, at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Garnett Pitts officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Lake Garfield.
