MILDRED LORRAINE WISE HINCKLEY
Passed away in Naples, FL on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the age of 92. Mildred was born on July 18, 1922 in Samson, AL to the late J.W. "Jake" Wise and Rachel Sloan Wise, moved to Frostproof as a young child, and graduated from Frostproof High School in 1940. A long time resident of Orlando, she most recently resided with her daughters in Naples and Lithia.

Mildred was a devoted military wife for more than 20 years to her husband, CM/Sgt. Keith V. Hinckley, Sr. (USAF Retired) who preceded her in an untimely death in 1970 at the age of 48. Her full time career was as a loving stay-at-home Mother to her four children: Dale Encinosa (George) of Naples, Kathy Patterson (Pat) of Lithia, Keith Hinckley, Jr. (Laura) of Ellington, MO, and Kenneth Hinckley of Edinburgh, IN. She was preceded in death by her brothers, J.T. Wise and Junior Wise. Also survived by her sisters-in-law, Guelda Wise and Geneva Wise and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Also surviving are her step-Mother, Mary Wise, half-sisters, Tenny Ruth Croley and Lynette Vermillion, and half-brother, Wesley Wise. She was the proud and loving Grandmother of 16 Grandchildren, 29 Great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren (which created 5 living generations).

A celebration of Mildred's life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Christian Fellowship Church, 16 E. First Street (33843) in Frostproof at 2pm. A reception will be held at the First Baptist Church of Frostproof, "Smith Building", 375 N. Oak Avenue, Frostproof immediately following the service. Burial took place in Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof. The family requests that donations in Mildred's memory be made to the Wounded Warriors Project (4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256) or that you perform an act of kindness for someone in need in her memory.
