Mildred E. Chaffee

Mildred E. Chaffee of Fort Myers passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Emeritus Senior Living facility in Fort Myers.

She was born September 6, 1915 in Milford, MA to the late Glen and Anna (Beers) Dunning; and moved from Frostproof to Fort Myers four years ago. Before retiring she was a sales clerk for Burdines, and she attended Frostproof Methodist Church when she was able. Mildred loved animals and enjoyed reading, crocheting, and knitting.

Mildred was preceded in death by her first husband, John Peterson; and second husband, John Chaffee. Survivors include her sisters, Martha Q. Temby of Fort Myers; and Rev. Jean M. Trench-Ellis of Sagamore Beach, MA.
