Mike W. "Michael B" Browne

Mike W. "Michael B" Browne of Babson Park passed away Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born April 14, 1950 in Lake Wales to the late Wesley Perry and Naomi Ruth (Goodrich) Browne; and has been a lifelong resident of this area. He retired from E.R. Jahna Industries as a Safety Director. He was the bass player with Jr & the M.D.'s Band, enjoyed drag racing, fishing, watching westerns on TV, and was a "jack of all trades".

Survivors include his wife, Lanie Browne; daughters, Becky Browne of Tampa, Linzy Browne of Lake Wales; son, Benjamin Browne of Lake Wales; sister, Barbara "Babs" Wiggins of Lake Butler; two grandchildren, Isaac and Ian.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 8, 2011 and the funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Keith Thompson officiating. Interment will take place 3:00 PM Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the Bell Cemetery in Bell, FL.

In lieu of flowers, family requests that contributions be made to the Browne Family Education Fund (454 South Buck Moore Road, Lake Wales, FL 33853).
