Miguel Ortiz

Miguel Ortiz of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born October 4, 1934 in Mexico to the late Atanacio and Geneva Amaya Ortiz; and came to Lake Wales from Texas in 1988. We was a farmer, of the Protestant faith, enjoyed shooting pool, and family times.

Survivors include his wife, Pabla Ortiz; daughters, Maria Martinez of Lake Wales, Gloria Ortiz of Grand Rapids, MI, Elia Ortiz of Grand Rapids, MI, and Geneva Ortiz of Lake Wales; sons, Atanacio Ortiz of Lake Wales, Miguel Ortiz of Lake Wales, Rigoberto Ortiz of Grand Rapids, MI, Marcos Ortiz of Mexico, Rosalio Ortiz of Lake Wales, and Jose Luis Ortiz of Grand Rapids, MI; sisters, Sofia Ortiz, Evangelina Ortiz, Juana Ortiz, all of Mexico; brother, Alberto Ortiz of El Paso, TX; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
